The Project-based Learning online course is designed to introduce educators to project-based learning/instruction (PBL/PBI) through the lens of product development education, an interdisciplinary, project-based curriculum model rooted in engineering/design education as well as industry practices. Why Register? The course activities which will consist of discussion forums, online, asynchronous lectures, team interaction and assignments posted within the platform, are designed to teach instructors how to apply Product Development Education in multiple disciplines. (2) Position students as active learners who apply academic concepts in PBL experiences. (3) Enable students to take a role in innovation by generating products to solve problems More Information:
Workload Approximately 3-4 hours/week for 6 weeks. Technical Requirements You will need a computer that allows you to watch the video lectures and provides the ability to upload all of your assignments. Statement of Accomplishment Subject to course completion (completion of all assignments), you will receive a statement of accomplishment signed by your instructor. This will include a statement of completed hours, and as an approved professional development provider in the state of Massachusetts, PTC can also provide professional development points (PDPs) that are recognized by the state of Massachusetts.
